Verification

There are two separate checks. Both are optional.

Identity: the verified badge​

Upload a photo of your UoG student ID in Settings. An admin checks that it matches your name and student ID, and approves or rejects it with a reason. Once approved, a gold verified badge shows next to your name on the leaderboard and your profile:

Grades: a verified GPA and TGP​

Your GPA and TGP are self-reported until you verify them. To verify:

  1. Go to Settings → GPA verification.
  2. Upload a screenshot or PDF of your SRMS Academic Profile (up to 5 MB). Your name, student ID, GPA and TGP must be visible. Find your TGP on SRMS shows how to save it with Print.
  3. An admin compares it with what you entered and approves or rejects it.

Approved results show a green check on the leaderboard and your profile. Only verified results appear when someone turns on Verified only.

Changing your GPA or TGP removes the check until you verify again, because the document no longer matches.

What happens to your document​

Only RankUoG admins can see it. It's kept for 90 days after the review in case the result is questioned, then deleted automatically. See the Privacy Policy.
